We choose Redworth hall for our wedding venue as we fell in love with the beautiful hotel. From the grounds to the stunning and charming Grand hall. We visited the hotel on many occasions when we first got engaged. When we final decided to book our wedding with short notice we visited the hotel on a whim.

Sarah was our wedding coordinator. When we first showed up to the hotel and asked if someone was free to speak to us, Sarah was only to happy to. She put us at ease – even with the short time scale we gave ourselves.

We had many funny moments on our wedding day! From getting told off for arriving early (all of our guests had to be quickly ushered into the hall. Our brilliant photographer tripping over on the stage during the ceremony trying to get into a better position. Finally Simon tripping over my dress trying to get through the door leading into the Great hall for the entrance to our wedding breakfast.

As for a lasting memory – I couldn’t possibly chose. The string quartet on the balcony (organised by my husband as a surprise) was simply amazing. Having them play through the wedding breakfast too was a fabulous touch. The staff – in particular Damien, our master of ceremonies, were so attentive to all our needs. The hall was decorated romantically with candles, the fire lit and the Christmas tree twinkling behind the top table.

Our day was perfect.
